Our Core Values

VRFUMC at The Garden is focused on serving God through three Core Values.

  • Mission

    We believe in the transformative power of service to God through the care of our community and beyond.  Jesus said, “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25.40 NIV) and, “whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me” (Matthew 25.45 NIV). 


  • Education

    We believe in the transformative power of Christian education. Through committing ourselves to learning and adhering to Scripture, we prepare ourselves to be people that are led by the Holy Spirit.


  • Worship

    We believe in the transformative power of the celebration of Almighty God–the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  Through worship we give thanks for all that God has done, is doing, and will do to His glory and to the betterment of the community around us. We worship through traditional worship in our 9:00am service and modern worship at 11:00am service.
