Who We Are

A faithful Christian community of over 150 years, the people of Villa Rica FUMC have been pillars in this community, as well as the North Georgia Conference of The United Methodist Church. VRFUMC existed in its previous location, 206 North Avenue, for over one hundred years. In 2006, VRFUMC and The North Georgia Conference Office of Church Development purchased The Garden Property in order to expand our mission in Villa Rica, West Georgia, and the world.

Countless prayerful hours have been donated in dreaming and imagining our current facility that hosts our growing Pre-school, Youth, Children and Mission projects. Our first community vegetable garden was planted at The Garden in 2011 and was a blessing to many in our community who otherwise would not have been able to eat fresh fruits and vegetables. We still grow fresh vegetables on our property and give them to those in need through God's Food Pantry, our church's mission project which helps those experiencing hunger and homelessness.  The Garden location gives us visibility as well as space for growth and continued ministry. No longer land locked, we are now be able to grow into our more than 18 acres to create more spaces on and off campus where we can make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

We believe that the church is the body of Christ and that every person is welcome to be a part of it. We'd love for you to join us and help the Garden grow so that everyone will know the grace and love of Jesus Christ and find everlasting life in him.
